Church Campout

We had a wonderful time this past weekend at the church campout! It sprinkled a little the first evening, but it never actually rained. It was cold though!! (low 40s, maybe even high 30s) The cabins had heat which made it a lot easier to stay warm at night.

We played tons of games throughout the weekend. (Abigail and Bethany)

Emma L. looking as cute as can be!

This is the kitchen crew...hmmm...it looks to me like Mary-Kate (at the sink) and Jack are the only ones really working! :)

Hannah and Hannah-Grace with Chloe

Mr. Layman and Dad picking out songs to sing.

I am trying to play Dutch Blitz, but it looks like it got too late for my fellow players. :)

Bethany and Abigail enjoying hot chocolate.

We discovered that almost all of our friends know how to play Euchre! (And those who didn't, learned.) :) We started a tournament, but didn't get a chance to finish it.

Stephanie planned and organized a scavenger hunt for both adults and kids. Some of the older kids/adults paired up with a little kid. Here everyone is looking for a four-leaf-clover! Believe it or not, nearly everyone found at least one!

The hardest item on the list to find was the cicada shell. When Andrew heard that he needed a cicada shell, he promptly stated, "Oh, I know where one is!" and ran off to get it!
(Bethany and Karen G.)

Jon and Andrew discussing the weekend just before we left.

Bethany and Andrew on one of their walks through the woods.

We arrived home at 4:30pm Sunday ready for real showers and a good night's sleep, but with lots of memories.
