C2C Clubs

Stephanie, Grace, and I just finished the last of the Creation 2 Christ clubs this morning. We were able to help with four of the five clubs that were held in neighborhoods around the area. Everything went smoothly, and we had several kids pray to receive Christ. At each club we had anywhere from 2-11 kids a day.

Stephanie and I (Rebecca) did the opening skit each day for three of the clubs.

The skits indroduced the scientist of the day. Here Grace is telling these girls about an Ica stone.

At one club Sir Richard Owen came for a visit! (What a great idea Dan!)

Deana is demonstrating the ring and chain, one of the many object lessons worked into the lesson each day.

Twin girls who were so attentive and a joy to teach.

At one of the clubs, we had all new kids the last day! Thankfully, while the last lesson is still a review lesson, it does stand alone.

Each day we learned about a new dinosaur. It was amazing how mentioning dinosaurs drew the kids in! All of us teachers learned so much about dinosuars ourselves this summer. :)

This is a two-year-old that came to one of the clubs. Fortunately she came to the club that we had lots of workers at! The night I babysat her, she stayed busy running around the yard picking up sweet gum balls! I then got to count them all! :)

One-on-one time with Courtney

At the end of the week we had a special prize for all the kids that said their memory verse every day of club. Talk about motivation! Courtney is trying to help the kids review a really hard verse.

This young man said all his verses so Mrs. Greer is helping him look through the treasure chest.

We had so many fun songs to learn/teach throughout the week. Each song contained so much Biblical truth and coordinated so well with what each Bible lesson was about.

Grace and Stephanie doing the review game.

Quotable Quote: Teacher - "What kind of wood did Noah build the ark out of?"

Little boy eagerly raising hand: "Hamster wood!"

Teacher: "Close! But you have the wrong rodent! :)"

We had remarkably cool weather this summer which was great for the clubs. One of the days was actually so cool that Grace, Stephanie, and Courtney decided to sit in the sun where it was warm.

Siblings who faithfully attended.

I haven't been on your blog in a while! It's so nice to see these pictures to remember to pray for the kids. :)
