October 12 -16, 2011: The all-freshman Mock Trial team went to a tournament hosted at Elon University in North Carolina. The Tournament was a great learning experience and I definitely enjoyed it.
Practicing before the tournament

We went against George Washington University, Emory University, Penn State, and the University of South Carolina. Entering the last round, we were in position to contend for winning the entire competition, but we unfortunately lost the round and didn't even place in the top 5. Two of our attorneys came within 1 and 2 points of winning an individual award, and one of our witnesses was 1 point from an individual award. While disappointing since we came so close to winning the tournament and did not, we did very well as an entirely freshman team against Ivy League teams with way more experience.
October 26, 2011: PHC hosted a choir festival where they invited a private school choir and the PHC Youth Music Academy to spend the day singing, culminating in a concert. The day was a blast!
October 28, 2011: I participated in the PHC intramural tournament for Constitutional Law extra credit with two rounds today. Three of the guys in my wing did very well (2 are in Moot Court as a class) and will be competing in out rounds tomorrow. I plan to do Moot Court officially and more seriously next year, but participating this year was good experience and practice.

It's great to see pictures of everything we've heard about lately! It's amazing that the one close-up of the guys singing is of you!! How convenient for posting on our blog. :)
Congrats on surviving mid-terms!! :-) Great job to you guys in the mock trial, too.
