Hurricane Sandy is now behind us here in Northern Virginia. Although PHC was near the center of the storm, we were really between the areas that got massive flooding and the areas that are getting lots of snow.
Hurricane Sandy
PHC Monday Afternoon.
Although many people were concerned about the hurricane, the storm's effect on PHC is comparable to a midwest thunderstorm that lasted longer, had no hail, no thunder, and no tornadoes. We had lots of rain and wind of about 50MPH.
Despite the hurricane not being seriously dangerous at PHC, the students definitely enjoyed their two days of cancelled classes! :)
