The Bobtism of Tyler Stockton

The long anticipated campus event finally took place last night! Roughly half of the student body turned out into the 35-degree weather for the bobtism of Tyler Stockton, my RA.

Now, you've probably never heard of the word bobtism before, so let me explain. The word embodies an informal tradition that is uniquely special and can be traced back to the first PHC class. Explained simply: after the engagement of any PHC guy, he is carried out to the middle of Lake Bob and dunked.

Following the expected attempt to escape the clutches of his friends, Tyler was allowed to change his clothes and then carried outside.

All the students surrounded Tyler and Tia at the flag pole in the middle of the Farris Wheel and prayed for their future marriage. Then, Tyler was carried toward Lake Bob.

Six of his closest friends did the honor of carrying Tyler to the middle of Lake Bob and launching him into the Lake.

With the Bobtism complete, Tyler emerged from the frigid water and was lovingly embraced by Tia.

Although we waited five months, it was definitely worth the wait. Bobtisms are definitely a worthy and special PHC tradition. With Tyler's bobtism complete, two other engaged PHC guys are expected to be bobtized soon.
