Early this summer, Grace threw some cantaloupe and watermelon seeds in particular corner of the garden with the object of keeping down weeds. Imagine our surprise when Hannah and Bethany discovered a ripe cantaloupe on the vine! We have never been at all successful growing melons, and all are excited at our first fruit.

The only problem is it's only the size of a baseball!

aw, it's so cute and little! I agree with T.J.- It looked much bigger until you gave something to compare it to. :-)
