Last night the student body senate met for the first time this semester. The main topic of discussion and of business was the Grand Compromise of 2011, the new constitution. After about a year of debate and work, the senate finally passed it. The entire student body votes on it next week. From what I've heard so far they made some good changes in student government.
The point I was excited to hear was the announcement that a Chipotle's is working on opening right across the street. Awesome!
Tonight, the College Republicans had their Kick Off Party complete with pizza and root beer floats. They brought in three PHC alumni to talk about how the CR had helped them start their careers.

So was there a good turn-out for the College Republican meeting? (Did the bribe of free food work?) Are you an official member yet? :)
Decent turn out. Maybe 40 people. They would have had more, but there were 3 other events on campus at the same time. No, I'm not a member yet, but I am on the email list.
