Washington D.C.

Dad and I just got home last night from Washington D.C. We left KS with 5-6 inches of snow and it was still coming. It looked like we were flying out of Antarctica!

De-icing the plane before take-off! :)

After the conference...what a mess!

On Monday morning we woke up to find 8 inches of snow on the ground! (Our boots were in the car at KCI!) It was a surprise storm. This is the chapel at Arlington.

On Tuesday dad had a meeting on the Coast Guard barge. It is really an interesting feeling to be in an office that is rocking.

Wednesday we did get to do some sightseeing. We did the American History Museum, the Natural History Museum (a very quick peek), the Holocaust Museum, and the National Archives. It was a whirlwind trip and the snow made it even more complicated.

Looks like you managed to get some snow, anyway, even though you weren't here!! I am sure you had fun. :)
